TR: Trump Now!

A Shadow Over the American Breakfast Table

Friends, neighbors, fellow Americans! Are you tired of feeling like you're kept in the dark? Do you feel like the powerful play games while you’re just trying to put bread on the table? Well, so am I! This news coming from Washington, this whisper of a three-hour rendezvous between President Trump and President Putin, sends a chill down my spine, and it should send a chill down yours too. It's not just about presidents shaking hands; it's about the security of your families, the fairness of our markets, and the very foundation of American democracy! We, the people, deserve better than secretive dealings that may well impact your pocketbook.

The Stakes Are Higher Than You Think

Let's be blunt: Russia is not our friend. Let us not forget the history! From the shadow of the Iron Curtain to present-day meddling in our elections, Russia has repeatedly proven to be an adversary to American interests and values. A three-hour meeting, cloaked in secrecy, raises serious questions. What was discussed? What promises were made? What concessions were offered? Were the interests of the American worker, the American farmer, the American small business owner represented, or were they bargained away behind closed doors? The American people have a right to know if our national security, our economic prosperity, or our cherished democratic principles are being compromised in some backroom bargain! A lack of transparency breeds distrust, and distrust is the enemy of good governance. We cannot allow decisions that affect every American to be made in the shadows.

Speak Loudly and Carry a Big Stick: The Roosevelt Doctrine Applied

My approach to foreign policy has always been simple: Speak loudly and carry a big stick. We must be firm in our dealings with other nations, especially those that seek to undermine our interests. A good deal is not made in the dark, with only the powerful present. A good deal is a deal that benefits the American people, a deal reached with transparency and accountability.

I would have made my position to Putin crystal clear. The United States will not tolerate interference in our elections, aggression against our allies, or the violation of international norms. We will stand strong in defense of democracy and freedom around the world. But more importantly, I would then bring the proposed deal home to the people. No treaty is worth signing if the people don't agree with it.

A Square Deal for American Foreign Policy

My Square Deal is not just for domestic policy; it’s a guiding principle for how we engage with the world. Here’s how we bring it to bear on the relationship with Russia, and on the need for transparency with all our foreign relations:

  • Transparency Mandate: I will sign an executive order requiring detailed public reports on all meetings between the President and foreign leaders, including agendas, minutes (when possible), and any agreements reached. No more secret handshakes!

  • Congressional Oversight: We will work with Congress to establish stronger oversight mechanisms for foreign policy decisions, ensuring that the legislative branch has access to critical information and the power to hold the executive accountable.

  • Economic Fairness: A key tenet of the Square Deal is fair competition. We must address unfair trade practices that disadvantage American workers and businesses. This includes holding Russia accountable for intellectual property theft and unfair trade subsidies that undermine our economy.

  • Strengthen Alliances: The best way to counter Russian aggression is to strengthen our alliances with democratic nations. We will reaffirm our commitment to NATO and work with our allies to deter Russian expansionism and defend against cyberattacks.

  • Reimagine the Military-Industrial Complex: We must ensure that our military is strong and ready to meet any threat. We will combat the excesses of the military-industrial complex, ensuring that defense spending is efficient and effective, and not merely lining the pockets of corporations. The fruits of the American economy should be delivered to the American people.

Rise Up and Demand a Square Deal!

This is not a time for complacency. This is a time for action! Demand transparency from Washington. Demand accountability from your elected officials. Let them know that you will not tolerate secret deals that compromise your interests. Stand with me in demanding a Square Deal for America, a deal that puts the American people first.

Join the fight! Volunteer your time. Donate to our campaign. Spread the word! Together, we can build a stronger, fairer, and more transparent America. Let us show the world that the American people are not afraid to stand up for what is right. Let us together reclaim the spirit of American independence and the promise of a Square Deal for all! Let us do this for our children, and for the nation we all love. We can do this!
