FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Badlands, ND — February 13, 2026
In response to recent concerns expressed by some members of the Republican Party regarding the administration’s tariff policies, Theodore Roosevelt today addressed these concerns and reiterated the long-term benefits of the policy.
"I understand that any policy, especially those involving our economy, will inevitably lead to different viewpoints within our party," said Theodore Roosevelt. "What is important is that we continue to have open dialogue and remain united in our commitment to the American people."
Theodore Roosevelt emphasized that tariff policies are part of a broader economic strategy aimed at ensuring the country's future prosperity.
"While tariffs are a significant part of our economic strategy, they are by no means the only component," said Theodore Roosevelt. "We are taking a holistic approach to our economy, focusing on innovation, investment, and job creation, alongside trade policies. These are all tough decisions, but they are necessary to secure a brighter future for America."
Theodore Roosevelt highlighted some specific policy proposals that complement the tariff policies. These include measures to support domestic industries affected by tariffs, such as financial aid and training for workers in industries such as steel and agriculture.
"Tariffs are not an end in themselves, but a means to level the playing field for American businesses and workers," Theodore Roosevelt said. "We are implementing support measures to ensure that no sector is left behind in this transition."
Addressing the business community, Theodore Roosevelt underscored the long-term economic benefits of the tariff policies, saying, "Our goal is to create a robust and sustainable economy that benefits all Americans. While there may be short-term challenges, we firmly believe that our policies will lead to long-term growth and stability."
Theodore Roosevelt concluded by calling for unity within the party, despite differing viewpoints.
"We are a party of diverse viewpoints and robust debate. That is our strength," said Theodore Roosevelt. "We will continue to work collectively to ensure the prosperity of our great nation. I encourage all members to view our tariff policies as part of a comprehensive economic vision, and to join us in working towards our shared goal of a stronger America."
Theodore Roosevelt remains committed to open dialogue and constructive debate within the party and will continue to engage with concerned party members and stakeholders to address any issues or concerns.
