Roosevelt Condemns State Overreach, Champions Local Control as Cornerstone of Democracy

Badlands, ND — Theodore Roosevelt today issued a strong rebuke against the growing trend of state governments stripping power from cities and counties, characterizing it as a direct assault on the principles of local governance and a threat to the very foundation of American democracy.
